‘Dancing’ With The Tea Party Continues? Sarah Palin Reportedly Pushing For Christine O’Donnell To Join Hit Reality Competition

Did Sarah Palin have an ulterior motivation (besides cheering for daughter Bristol) behind her front-row appearance at “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday?

According to a new report, the former Alaska Governor / Vice Presidential candidate is lobbying the show’s producers to cast Delaware’s Tea Party politician, Christine O’Donnell, for Season 12 of the ABC reality dancing competition.

“Sarah is a genius at marketing herself and her message,” a “Dancing” insider reportedly told to PopEater’s Rob Shuter. “She doesn’t care about all the old rules about how political people are meant to behave and act. Sarah believes the best way is to go directly to the people — use Twitter, Facebook, ‘Dancing With the Stars’…. to get potential voters
excited and leave ‘Meet The Press’ and those boring Sunday morning shows to the old-school politicians.”

Show producers reportedly haven’t tossed out the idea – especially in the aftermath of the incredible buzz created by Sarah’s daughter controversial Season 11 run.

“Christine is not a bad idea at all,” an ABC executive reportedly told Rob. “After Kate Gosselin and Cloris Leachman, O’Donnell would fit right in. She certainly would be so controversial that the amount of press attention and buzz the show would get would be huge.

“Plus, you know they would make her dance in a witch’s hat with a broomstick,” the executive reportedly added, referencing Christine’s highly publicized 1999 admission that she “dabbled in witchcraft.”
