‘Dancing’s’ Cristian De La Fuente Recovering After Bicep Surgery

He may not have won “Dancing With the Stars,” but Cristian de la Fuente is winning the battle against his injured bicep.

The Latin heartthrob, who is gearing up for the premiere of his new show — USA’s “In Plain Sight” — had surgery to repair a tendon that separated in his bicep during the “Dancing” season.

“Surgery went very nicely. I was able to get a perfect repair of the bicep,” Cristian’s doctor, Neal S. Elattrache said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “Cristian will spend about a week in a splint, then start rehab.”

And there is more good news for Cristian fans. It appears the actor-turned-ballroom-star will have no permanent injuries.

“In approximately three months he will have a full recovery and full strength back,” the doctor added.

Cristian, 34, said he was grateful to his fans for sending him messages of support.

“Thank you to everyone for their concern and well wishes,” de la Fuente said in a statement to People.
