Performing for a television audience of millions each week on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” is no easy feat for Petra Nemcova, but the Czech model revealed the nerves are even worse for her fiancé, actor Jamie Belman!
“He gets more nervous than I do on the day of a show,” Petra told Access Hollywood, at a rehearsal with her professional dancing partner, Dmitry Chaplin, in Los Angeles on Friday. “Last show he was like, ‘OK, when you’re dancing, what number are you?’ I said, ‘We are number seven.’ He’s like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t think I can do it! Last week you were number four and my nerves were going crazy!’
“He gets more nervous than I do,” she added, with a laugh. “He really lives it with me.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the 31–year-old beauty became engaged to Jamie in January after they were introduced by mutual friends, and Petra seemingly couldn’t be more satisfied with her British beau.
“He’s been an incredible support and my biggest fan. He’s really taking care of me every single day and being there for me,” she gushed to Access. “[Doing the show] is very rough because you don’t get [a] chance to spend time with your loved ones, but he’s there and being just amazing.”
While Petra’s hard work is paying off on the dance floor – she and Dmitry tied for the top spot on the leaderboard last week, alongside Hines Ward and Kym Johnson – the grueling rehearsal schedule makes planning a wedding a bit of a challenge.
“The day is set, and it’s going to be in England, but right now there’s really no time to even breathe in between everything,” she told Access of the couple’s impending nuptials. “So, after the show we will start planning and enjoy the process of getting everything together.”
