Danielle Bradbery won Season 4 of “The Voice” on Tuesday and the 16-year-old singer says the magnitude of her victory has yet to fully hit her.
“No, it has not [sunk in] yet,” Danielle told Kit Hoover and Billy Bush on Friday’s Access Hollywood Live.
The country hopeful was mentored by coach Blake Shelton, who Danielle commended for his dedication to helping his artists – even in his downtime.
“Some days he likes to just get together without cameras and just talk about things about after the show and the future,” she said. “I love how he does that because I feel like we can trust him more and we get to know each other more.
“It’s awesome!” she added with a smile.
As for whether she’ll get to open for Blake on tour in the future, Danielle said she’s not sure (but is hoping for the opportunity). But first on her post-win agenda is heading to her Texas home for a breather.
“I get to go home and sleep in my own bed and kind of regroup and let everything sink in,” she said. “Then get back up on my feet and I’m ready to go!”
Danielle’s mom, Gloria – who accompanied her daughter to our set – said she gets incredibly nervous anytime Danielle is about to perform.
“My heart pounds, I can’t even breathe,” she said. “I’m just so proud and thankful. I’m speechless.”
