Danny DeVito: What He Thinks Of Robin Lord Taylor As Penguin On ‘Gotham’

Danny DeVito has seen “Gotham” and he has given his seal of Penguin approval to Robin Lord Taylor’s portrayal of the character.

“I’ve watched the show. I think he’s a very good young Penguin,” Danny said, when AccessHollywood.com asked the actor at Sunday’s Television Critics Association Winter Tour if he had seen Robin playing Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin in “Gotham” on Fox. (Danny played the fully fledged villain in 1992’s “Batman Returns,” alongside Michael Keaton’s Batman).

“He’s a terrific actor,” Danny added of Robin.

“Gotham” was just picked up for a second season, it was announced on Saturday, so Access had to ask if Danny would have any interest in appearing on the show, should producers reach out.

“I don’t know about that. Again, it’s all about the schedules and the parts and like how the thing is written and what it would be and there are so many particulars,” he said.
