David Duchovny Denies Affair With Tennis Coach

David Duchovny and wife Tea Leoni recently confirmed they are splitting, following his completion of rehab for sex addiction. But now, David’s tennis coach is reportedly alluding to a possible affair with the actor.

“We have a very, very close friendship,” Edit Pakay reportedly told Britain’s Daily Mail. “He is in great shape. He is a wonderful man. He’s [a] very intelligent, very kind and good man.”

According to the Daily Mail, when asked if she had a romantic relationship with the actor, Pakay reportedly said, “I don’t want to say anything that might hurt David. I am not going to deny it. I don’t know what our relationship means to him… If you want to write that we [had] an affair then fine. I will not argue against it.”

However, Duchovny is denying having an affair with Pakay.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, Pakay would not comment.

“The stories about an alleged affair between David Duchovny and his tennis instructor, Edit Pakay, are completely false,” Duchovny’s lawyer, Larry Stein, told Access Hollywood. “Ms. Pakay denied the rumors to me in person last Friday, saying they are just friends, and in addition, said in writing that such stories are ‘lies and deceit.’”

The 28-year-old tennis instructor reportedly said her relationship with Duchovny is not something she wants others to joke about.

“People joke about having affairs with their tennis coach and I’m the tennis coach,” Pakay reportedly said. “But, I don’t want to become the butt of jokes. My feelings for him mean much more than that.”

The “Californication” star was released from rehab for sex addiction earlier this month, after successfully completing treatment, Stein previously confirmed to Access Hollywood. The actor had checked himself into a facility over the summer.

Duchovny married actress Tea Leoni in 1997. They have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.
