Debbie Rowe was “horrified” by reports that Michael Jackson’s kids, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket, were involved in an incident with a stun gun.
Marc Schaffel, Debbie’s good friend and former confidant of the late singer, told Access Hollywood that she heard about the stun gun incident from the media.
“She was not told by the family,” Schaffel told Access on Friday. “She has not been allowed to speak to the kids since the incident.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, according to multiple online reports, Jermaine Jackson’s son, Jaafar, 13, bought the stun gun online and the Jackson children were playing with it.
On Tuesday night, a source close to the Jackson family who spoke to Access, said Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services officers had visited the Hayvenhurst home and were investigating an incident involving a taser or other type of shocking device, the source said.
A lawyer for Katherine Jackson issued a statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday denying the Jackson children were ever in harm’s way and that the stun gun was confiscated as soon security found out about it.
“Mrs. Jackson took control over it and then had it removed from the house. There was no other incident. Blanket Jackson never saw or heard the taser. Neither did Paris Jackson. Prince saw the taser in the possession of security,” the statement said.
Schaffel went on to claim that Debbie has not seen the Jackson children since last summer.
”[Debbie] has not seen the kids since Michael’s death in June of 2009,” Schaffel claimed.
According to Schaffel, Katherine Jackson and Debbie had reached agreement about visitation, “but Katharine has not lived up to it.” He told Access that Debbie plans to go back to court to have the visitation agreement enforced.
Schaffel also claimed that DCFS investigators could be paying the Hayvenhurst home another visit on Friday.
