Demi Lovato Enters Treatment Center For ‘Emotional & Physical Issues’

Demi Lovato has quit the Jonas Brothers tour to enter a treatment facility, her rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Monday night.

“Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time,” the teen’s rep said in the statement.

“Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that and Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time,” the statement continued.

The rep added that Lovato “regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”

TMZ, which first reported the story, claimed that the treatment stint is not related to drug use. However, sources reportedly told the website that the “Camp Rock” starlet had a “physical altercation” with a woman on the tour, which helped lead her to rehab.

On Saturday, Lovato bailed out on opening for the JoBros in Peru due to health reasons, according to a sign posted outside the venue, and posted on Twitter by the Disney star’s fans.

Lovato’s Twitter account was also reportedly deleted on the same day.‬
