Demi Lovato Spotted In Santa Monica After Finishing Rehab Stint

Demi Lovato has completed rehabilitation treatment, a source told Access Hollywood on Friday.

The 18-year-old singer/actress appears to be enjoying herself now that she’s out of rehab — she was photographed smiling while walking through a parking lot in Santa Monica, Calif., on Friday afternoon.

According to a source for TMZ, which was first to report Demi’s reported release, the former “Camp Rock” star hopes to get back to her “regular routine” and “spend time with her family and close friends.”

Additionally, the site claimed Demi will continue to “seek treatment for her issues” while in Los Angeles.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Demi quit the Jonas Brothers tour to enter a treatment facility in late October 2010.

“Demi Lovato left her tour early this weekend in order to seek medical treatment for emotional and physical issues she has dealt with for some time,” the teen’s rep told Access Hollywood in a statement at the time.

“Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She is doing just that and Demi and her family ask that the media please respect their privacy during this difficult time,” the statement continued.

The rep added that Lovato “regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”

According to multiple previous reports, prior to entering rehab, Demi was allegedly involved in an altercation with Alex Welch, a dancer on the Demi Lovato/Jonas Brothers tour.

A spokesperson for Lovato released a statement to Access in early December saying the star was saddened by the situation.

“Demi feels awful about what happened,” her spokesperson, Jesse Derris said in a statement to Access at the time. “Right now, she is 100 percent committed to her treatment.”

Donald Karpel, who represents Welch, told Access that the situation had been resolved in December saying, “There is a settlement and all of the issues have been amicably and completely resolved.”
