Denise Richards nearly had her Christmas ruined for daughters Sam and Lola after a child at school told one of her girls some revealing information about Santa.
“It was almost blown,” Denise told Access Hollywood Live’s Kit Hoover and guest co-host Lisa Rinna, referring to ‘The Big Secret’ regarding the fat jolly man in red and white. “There was a little girl at school – Sammy told me, ‘Mom, is it true you put your name on the present?’ and I said ‘No.’”
Denise, who actually once played a character called Christmas – Dr. Christmas Jones – in 1999’s Bond film “The World Is Not Enough,” said she is thrilled that she’s able to keep up the Santa secret with her kids.
“I love that they believe in Santa. It’s so fun,” she told Kit and Lisa.
Denise revealed that it’s her littlest – Lola, just 5 – who takes after their pretty mom the most.
“Lola’s definitely very spontaneous and very chatty and all of that… and Sammy, I would say she’s got a lot of Charlie [Sheen] in her — she’s very quiet, she’s very focused, which is fantastic with school and everything,” the proud mom said of her eldest, who is 6. “But I think there’s a lot of me in both of them. And Sam is definitely more like her dad and Lola’s a lot like my mom too.”
Beyond her children, and her acting career – Denise is currently featured on the small screen in Spike TV’s “Blue Mountain State” – the Hollywood beauty has a host of supportive friends who are part of their own Hot Moms Potluck Dinner, something that happened after the women – all celebrities – connected on Twitter.
“Each one of us hosts the actual dinner. We make it like potluck,” Denise said. “We have very fun.”
The group, which includes Lisa, Denise, Alison Sweeney, Candace Cameron Brue, Ali Landry, and Kyle Richards, also gabs a lot, but keeps its discussions inside the dining room walls.

“Everything that’s said in the house stays in the house. And it’s nice,” Denise said. “It’s a nice group of very supportive women. We’re all moms, and I love it.”
