Dennis Quaid Meltdown Video Revealed As Funny Or Die Sketch

It’s a fake. It’s all fake. The Dennis Quaid meltdown was… a Funny or Die gag.

After a video of the actor’s expletive-laced rant was posted on YouTube on Tuesday, debate quickly ignited over whether it was a true outburst or a produced sketch – even Jimmy Kimmel was blamed for it.

Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover got in the debate, weighing in with their thoughts on Tuesday night’s show.

“We’ve watched the Dennis rant a few times and it’s actually the perfect setup for a reveal later, if they show the other side of what he’s talking about,” Kit said on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood, referring to the odd list of things he rattles off in his rant, including zombies, a baby and garbage.

But alas, it’s all thanks to the folks at Funny or Die.

The comedy site posted the full video on Wednesday (note: graphic language in the clip), complete with zombies, a baby, a basket of kittens and even – Dopey the D**k. Yes, a man in a full penis costume.

“Sorry I get grumpy when my hair gets flat,” Dennis – in character – says to a stylist blowdrying his hair at the end of the clip.

Prior to the big reveal, actor David Spade posted an Instagram photo of Dennis putting Seth Green in a headlock.

“This Dennis Quaid video is no joke. He killed @sethgreen today. @funnyordie,” David captioned the pic.

After the rant video was first posted on Tuesday, Dennis was asked about the clip during a press presentation by Crackle (the streaming service which will launch a new drama series, “The Art of More,” starring the actor).

“Oh I’m not gonna talk about that,” Dennis said at the time.
