Derek Hough and Nina Dobrev have reportedly called it quits just six weeks after they began dating.
According to Us Weekly, the “Dancing with the Stars” pro and “Vampire Diaries” star decided their relationship had “played itself out.”
The mag reported that distance is to blame, as Derek films “DWTS” in Los Angeles, while Nina works in Atlanta for her CW series.

“The distance was too much to handle,” a source told the mag.
The pair first went public on October 5 at Universal Studios’ Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights but reportedly began dating in September.
”[Nina] was hanging a lot with Derek’s sister Julianne [Hough],” a source told the mag at the time. “Then she fell for him.”
Despite the split, Nina and Julianne are on good terms.

“Julianne understands – there are no hard feelings,” another source said.
