Devious Maids: Roselyn Sanchez Talks Boss Eva Longoria & Filming Nude Scenes

Roselyn Sanchez plays aspiring singer Carmen Luna (who has taken a job as a maid at the home of famous Latin artist Alejandro Rubio in hopes of starting a music career) on Lifetime’s “Devious Maids.”

So far, Carmen hasn’t been able to flirt her way into a recording contract with Alejandro (Matt Cedeno) on the show, but Roselyn hinted at a possible romance between the two in weeks to come.

“Maybe,” Roselyn told Billy Bush and guest co-host Holly Robinson Peete on Friday’s Access Hollywood Live, when asked if sparks will fly between Carmen and Alejandro. “That’s the plan – you have to watch!”

Adding, “We do get very close though, yes.”

While waiting to find her way in with Alejandro, Carmen stays in co-worker Sam’s (Wole Parks) good graces by shedding her clothes – all of them!

Roselyn explained how the “Devious Maids” crew shot the scandalous scene.

“I had little [pasties] and a little [patch] down there and it was freezing cold,” she said. “And I had had my baby maybe six months before? It was like, oh my God, I can’t believe I have to do a nude scene! But it was OK.”

The Lifetime drama was created by Marc Cherry (“Desperate Housewives”) and is executive produced by “Housewives” alum (and Roselyn’s longtime friend) Eva Longoria.

So how does Roselyn feel about having Eva as a boss?

“It’s ridiculously amazing,” she said. “I’ve known Eva for so long and to see her growth – to become this powerhouse – politics, an empire. To be able to call her my friend and now she’s my boss, I’m just learning.

“It’s like going back to school – just sit down and observe,” she added.

As for possible roles for Latinas in Hollywood, Roselyn said there currently “plenty.”

“Things are changing… it’s looking good,” she said. “It’s important for ‘Devious Maids’ to do really well, so it opens doors.”

Adding, “God forbid it doesn’t work, then it’s like, ‘We tried, but it didn’t work.’”

“Devious Maids” airs Sundays at 10 PM on Lifetime.
