Diana Ross’ Father Dies

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (November 21, 2007) – Diana Ross’ father, Fred Ross,has died, the singer’s rep has confirmed to Access Hollywood.

Fred Ross was 87. According to the rep, he died peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning.

“He touched many lives and he will be truly missed.I love him very much,” the legendary singer said in a statemnet released to Access.

Following the news of her father’s death, Diana went on to perform her sold-out show in Los Angeles Monday night.

After the concert, she flew directly to Detroit with her brother Chico.

The sad news comes on the heels of several other celebrities losing a parent in recent months, including Jane Seymour, Marie Osmond, Martha Stewart and Kanye West.
