(July 13, 2006) — Diane Lane stopped by the ?Today? show on Thursday only to find Ann Curry waiting with a giant pair of scissors, ready to lop off Diane?s long locks.
But it was all for a great cause.
The stunning 41-year-old actress put her vanity aside and cut off her hair for Pantene Beautiful Lengths and the Entertainment Industry Foundation charities.
?Oh my gosh,? Diane gasped as Ann began to chop off her hair.
?How do you feel?? Access Hollywood?s Tim Vincent asked the actress.
?I feel fresh and fabulous,? she said of her short new ?do.
Diane had been revving up her nerves since last fall, growing her hair as long as possible. It will now be made into wigs for cancer-stricken women.
?They needed someone to take the leap and be the front man so to speak,? Diane told us. ?I wanted to encourage others to go forth.?
?What I?m moved by is how big her heart is,? Ann Curry told Access.
