Did Kara DioGuardi Out Adam Lambert?

Kara DioGuardi has told the ladies of “The View” she was never confused about the sexuality of “American Idol” runner up Adam Lambert.

In an episode of the daytime talk show, which aired on Friday, Barbara Walters asked the newest “Idol” judge if she felt Adam’s perceived sexuality had an impact on “Idol” voters.

“Well, first of all, I hope not … because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry and they both [Lambert and Allen] had that,” Kara replied.

“I don’t think that Adam [Lambert] was ever in [the closet],” she added. “I think he was always openly out.”

Barbara reportedly pressed Kara about her comment that Adam “was always openly out.”

“I think he was,” Kara answered. ” I mean, from what I’ve seen… I do. I never thought he wasn’t.”

But Adam himself has deflected comments about his sexuality since the competition ended. In an interview with People earlier this week, the raven-haired rocker said inquisitive minds should “calm down,” and “keep speculating.”

“It’s a really, really cool thing… to be able to show people that you can be yourself, and you should be proud of yourself, and you should own who you are and what you’re about, and never make apologies for it,” Adam told the mag.
