Diddy Arrested After Alleged Fight With UCLA Football Coach 

Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested by UCLA police on Monday, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The music and fashion mogul was taken into custody following an alleged altercation with an assistant UCLA football coach. Combs’ son, Justin, is a defensive back for the Bruins and joined the team as a freshman in 2012.

In a statement issued on Monday, campus authorities revealed Combs was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, specifically a kettlebell, shortly after 12:30 PM PT at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex.

“No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening,” the statement read.

UCLA football coach Jim Mora also issued a statement on the arrest.

“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation,” he said in his statement. “This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”

Reps for Combs had no comment.

Update: Police and UCLA officials have confirmed Combs was released on bail shortly after 10 PM on Monday night. Charges were updated to three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of battery and one count of making terrorist threats.
