Dina Lohan On Lindsay’s Latest Rehab Stint: ‘This Will Be It’

Lindsay Lohan’s mom, Dina Lohan, is speaking out about her daughter’s latest trip to rehab.

Just hours after Lindsay checked into the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., Dina called into Access Hollywood Live on Friday.

“I am breathing and I will sleep very soundly,” Dina told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, when asked about her 26-year-old headline-making daughter.

“It’s been great for Lindsay, we’re so happy and relieved she’s in a place and can heal,” Dina continued.

“Let’s hope this is it,” Billy said of her latest rehab trip. The actress previously sought treatment there in 2010.

According to Dina, Lindsay has vowed to turn her life around for good.

“It will be it, Billy… this will be it. Lindsay is extremely upset leaving all of us, and we were as well,” she explained. “She said, ‘Mom this is not going to happen again. I’m not going to do this to you guys.’”

Dina told Billy and Kit that her parting moments with Lindsay before she left for rehab were very emotional.

“Just hugs and [we] cried a lot,” Dina recounted. “[I told her,] ‘We’re here for you and we’re you’re family and you’ll get through this.’”

Adding that Lindsay’s battle with her issues “is a struggle and it’s hard and it’s an everyday thing.”

Dina also opened up about how Lindsay ended up at Betty Ford (which was arranged with the help of her former attorney, Shawn Holley) after initially looking into the Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, New York and then Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, Calif.

According to Dina, ex-husband Michael Lohan was the reason Lindsay could not get treatment at Seafield.

“I put my ex in Seafield, gosh about 15 years ago… He actually left the program in the middle of the night, came home inebriated. I was separated at the time and… he was arrested at the time. So, they don’t really like him at that facility. So he started calling and berating them there. And they said Lindsay can go there, but he certainly cannot be near there or they will have to call the authorities,” Dina claimed to Billy and Kit.

“So, push came to shove and Michael just kept, you know, giving them a problem. So then Lindsay had to pay the price for that… they said, ‘We’d love for your daughter to come, but we’re sorry, he’s just too disruptive and it would not be good for the rest of the patients,” Dina claimed.

Michael responded to the claims Dina made on Friday’s Access Hollywood Live, saying she was “lying.”

“I did not sneak out of the Seafield Rehab Center. I have not been barred from the center. In fact, I remain friendly with the staff there and I have worked with them on many, many occasions. Because I had been at Seafield, Lindsay called to ask my opinion about the center,” he told Access. “She had concerns about Seafield, particularly the fact that it is a non-smoking facility and that therapy sessions can include as many as 60 people in a group session.”

Lindsay was ordered to spend 90 days in a rehab facility. She pleaded no contest in March to reckless driving and lying to police who were investigating a June 2012 auto accident involving the actress along the Pacific Coast Highway.
