“Biggest Loser” Winner Revealed

Fifteen million people watched 40-year-old Danny Cahill become “The Biggest Loser” of all time on Tuesday night. The land surveyor/musician from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, lost a record setting 239 pounds, going from 430 to 191 pounds. Just minutes after the finale he told us that he really feels anyone can accomplish what he did. “Don’t eat as much and eat good food. Don’t eat junk and work hard,” he advised. As for the $250,000 grand prize, Danny said he has three things on his mind, “I’m gonna save. I’m gonna give and I’m gonna spend a little bit too. My family deserves a vacation.” His wife Darci has lost 66 pounds on her own while Danny was doing the show, “She’s 20 pounds from her goal weight. We’re gonna hold each other accountable because I think accountability is a big thing that everyone needs in their life no matter where it is.”

“Losers” In Love

Contestants Antoine and Alexandra got engaged during the show but another couple blossomed during filming as well. $100,000 winner Rebecca Meyer hooked up with fellow contestant Daniel Wright. Rebecca, 25, said the prize money will help her move out of her parents home and into her own place with 20-year-old Daniel. “We’re moving together,” Rebecca revealed. “We haven’t figured it out yet. We decided with all the craziness that was the end of ‘The Biggest Loser’ that we were gonna finish this, take a week and just figure it out.” One thing they are not ready for is an engagement like their co-contestants. “There’s no bar to be set because that’s their journey and this is ours,” Rebecca explained. Daniel added, “We are going slow.” Our cameras followed the lovebirds recently as Daniel got a makeover with Tabitha Coffey, the star of Bravo’s “Tabitha’s Salon Takeover.” (Check out the video HERE) Rebecca revealed that it was just after our cameras left that she turned her brunette bob into the new cropped, blonde ‘do, “The inspiration? It was just Tinkerbell apparently. I just wanted to cut it all off and hide behind nothing anymore. The world got to see me on ‘Leno’ and ‘The Today Show’ and so I’m just like, there’s gonna be more wow.”

Subway Shay

The journey is not over for one of “The Biggest Loser’s” contestants. Shay Sorrells, the shows biggest contestant ever who initially weighed in at a whopping 476 pounds, got the deal of a lifetime last night. Subway restaurants has agreed to pay her $1,000 for every pound she drops on her own between now and the Season 9 finale in May. Shay lost an incredible 172 pounds on the show. “I thought I was gonna be at the Season 9 finale but I really pictured myself sitting in the audience,” she told us last night. “So to hear now that I have one more time on that scale, it’s a littler nerve-wracking but at the same time it’s the most awesome experience I could have been presented with tonight.” Despite her incredible weight loss, Shay, who now weighs 304 pounds, was confident she had no chance last night of winning the $100,000 at home prize, “I knew I wasn’t going to walk away with the check. There was just no way. I get to write my own check. That’s awesome!” She hopes by May to be under 200 pounds, “The last time I was under 200 pounds I was in fifth grade. Whatever that number on that check is it will pay for every sweat, every moment.”

“Love” Belt

Did I really just get a press release at my desk with the headline, “5 women, 30 men…one conveyer belt”?! Apparently so! ABC announced today what could quite possibly be the strangest dating reality show ever. In this one hour special following the season premiere of “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love,” five women take a shot at finding love when 30 men are given the chance to impress them as they pass by on a moving conveyor belt, on “Conveyor Belt of Love.”

Here’s how it works – If a woman is interested in someone, that man will step aside and wait as the rest of the men go by. But if another man comes by on the belt who seems better than that woman’s first choice, she can swap out the man waiting off of the belt as many times as she wants until the last man has passed by. If two or more of the women are interested in the same man, the tables turn and the man on the conveyor belt gets to choose which one he would like to wait for. After all 30 men have made it through the “Conveyor Belt of Love,” each woman is left with her final choice as she embarks on a date in the hope of finding a true connection. Sounds bizarre. Then again everyone thought “Dating In The Dark” was a weird concept and that seemed to work. Plus, let’s face it — my method of dating hasn’t exactly found me the love of my life just yet. So, maybe ‘men going by like ketchup bottles’ isn’t such a bad idea. Sign me up!

Ellen’s First “Idol” promo

“American Idol’s” new judge Ellen DeGeneres has yet to do any actual judging on the new season. The infamous Hollywood Week, where the judges whittle the contestants down to the Top 36 or 24 (depending on what the producers decide they want this year), isn’t being filmed until January. However, last night we got to see the very first promos of Ellen for the show which aired on FOX during “So You Think You Can Dance.” During the promo, Ellen was heard proclaiming, “I’m the next ‘American Idol’… judge!” (Check it out HERE)

“House’s” New Gig

Seems Hugh Laurie is moonlighting on his own show, again. FOX confirmed that this time the British actor will step behind the lens to direct an episode of the hit medical series. Laurie is already a producer on the show. This is not Laurie’s first go around as director. In 2003 he directed a filmed entitled “Fortysomething” where he also played the lead role.

Dylan Gets “Dark” Again

Looks like we’ll get to see more of those steely blue eyes. TNT confirmed that they have picked up a second season of Dylan McDermott’s undercover cop drama, “Dark Blue.” Ten additional episodes have been ordered with an airdate set for sometime in June. The Jerry Bruckheimer produced show started out with around 3.5 million viewers but ended with around 1.6 million as the season wrapped up.
