DJ AM Autopsy Completed, Cause Of Death Pending Toxicology Tests

An autopsy on the body of DJ AM, AKA Adam Goldstein, has been completed, New York City Medical Examiner’s Office spokesperson Ellen Borakove told Access Hollywood on Saturday.

“We finished Adam Goldstein’s autopsy, the cause of death is pending further study,” she told Access, noting toxicology tests still need to be completed.

DJ AM, who was 36, was found dead on Friday. Police sources told Access Hollywood on Friday that Goldstein is believed to have died of a drug overdose.

Additionally, police sources told Access’ New York affiliate WNBC that drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, including a crack pipe.

However, Borakove told Access that it would be “several weeks” before a cause of death could be determined.
