Dog The Bounty Hunter Posts Bail For Nicolas Cage Following Actor’s New Orleans Arrest

Dog to the rescue!

Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman posted bond for Nicolas Cage following his arrest in New Orleans on Friday night, according to E! News.

E! reports the big-haired blond bondsmen reportedly posted $11,000 for the “Drive Angry” actor, who was arrested on charges on disturbing the peace, domestic violence and public drunkenness.

“Media from around the world have been requesting interviews with me today after reports surfaced about my posting a bond for actor Nicolas Cage in New Orleans,” Duane – who stars in his own A&E reality show — said in a statement to E! News. “I am a truly dedicated fan of Mr. Cage and will not be granting any interviews about my client as I wish to respect his privacy. I performed my duties as a bail bondsman and not in connection with our show.

“This is what I do for a living,” the statement continued. “There are two sides of my job: I release my clients after they have been arrested; and pick them up if they don’t show up in court. I do not believe the latter will be the case for Mr. Cage.”

As previously reported on, according to the Associated Press, the 47-year-old star was arrested after he got drunk in the city’s French Quarter and argued in the street with his wife, Alice Kim, over whether a house they were in front of was theirs, police said Saturday.

Police said the couple was in front of a home that Cage insisted they were renting. She said it wasn’t theirs, and Cage then grabbed her arm.

The release said Cage started hitting vehicles and tried to get into a taxi. A police officer saw that Cage was drunk and told him to get out of the cab. Cage then started yelling at the officer.
