Dolly Parton Weighs In On Heidi Montag’s Plastic Surgery Makeover

If there’s anyone who knows about plastic surgery, it’s country music legend Dolly Parton, who has made no bones about all the work she has had done over the years. Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson sat down with the country music superstar exclusively and found out what the star had to say about Heidi Montag’s extreme makeover, Jessica Simpson’s curves, and much more.

“When you saw somebody like a Heidi Montag, at the age of 23, getting ten procedures in one day, did you ever think, ‘Oh my gosh! This is hitting the girls way too young?’” Shaun asked.

“Oh, I would have probably done it when I was that age if I could have afforded it and thought I needed it,” Dolly said.

There was no judgment coming from Dolly who is as open as it gets when it comes to going under the knife.

“I think that’s one of the things that people like about you, is that you are so honest about everything,” Shaun said.

“Well, people want to know,” Dolly said. “If you ask me about it, I’d rather tell you…. I’d rather you think I had plastic surgery than to think I was a liar.”

Heidi isn’t the only berated blonde whom Dolly defends. Dolly was one of the first to speak out in support of her friend Jessica Simpson, when the star was under siege for her curvier look.

“It hurts me. In fact, I have defended Jessica so many times ‘cause I get so mad,” Dolly said. “I think, ‘You don’t even know her!’… and who has such a right to be so cruel and so mean? They just seem to want to hurt her for whatever their reasons are. I’ve had been made fun of enough in my lifetime especially when I was a child… It hurts and I know it hurts anybody.”

Dolly is having the last laugh, though… mostly, at herself.

Shaun made the nearly 1,800 mile trip to Dolly’s hometown of Nashville where the superstar opted for a “Dumb Blonde” T-shirt at the opening of her new memorabilia store, Dolly Parton’s Trinkets And Treasures.

“I love [that] you say, ‘The Dumb Blonde,’” Shaun laughed.

“Oh, my ‘Dumb Blonde,’ Yeah, actually, ‘Dumb Blonde’ was my very first hit record,” Dolly explained.

For the big day, fans of all sexes got all done up like Dolly and waited in the rain to meet their ultimate Glamazon role model.

“We have a lot of people that dress up like me. I’m easy to do. Cheap wig, cheap bra, push up bra… And lots of makeup,” Dolly laughed.

“Who will play Dolly in the big screen version?” Shaun asked.

“I don’t know that yet,” Dolly said. “We’re kind of looking, but we need to go back to that plastic surgery thing. We’ll have to get a girl that can get her a really big ol’ boob job won’t we now?!”
