Donald Trump Continues To Question President Obama’s Birth; Says Big Drama In Store For ‘Apprentice’

Donald Trump joined the ranks of the “birthers” last week when he admitted on “The View” he has questions about where President Barack Obama was born, something he told Access Hollywood he remains concerned about.

“There’s been an amazing reaction to this little situation on ‘The View,’” Trump, who has has said he is considering a 2012 run, told Access Hollywood on Monday. “I went on ‘The View’… and Whoopi [Goldberg] and I guess the others asked me about the birth certificate, the fact that Barack Obama, our president doesn’t have a birth certificate.”

Trump said he is surprised that people aren’t coming out of the woodwork to vouch for President Obama’s birth.

“You have to be born in the United States to be president. He cannot produce a birth certificate,” Trump said. “He can’t produce a doctor, a nurse or anybody.”

“The Celebrity Apprentice” boss said he also questions why Obama’s family hasn’t provided more proof that the president was born stateside.

“His family doesn’t even know what hospital he was born in, so I say, ‘Where’s the birth certificate?’” Trump said. “If Arnold Schwarzenegger runs for president, he can’t because he wasn’t born in this country. You’re not allowed. So this man cannot produce a birth certificate. It is very troubling.”

The President and Hawaiian officials have, however, confirmed Obama was born in Hawaii.

“I … have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen,” Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino told the Associated Press in 2009 in a statement. “I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago.”

Trump said he wouldn’t comment on whether he has heard from the White House following last week’s “View” appearance.

He would, however, talk about the disputes on his NBC show, “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and the drama coming up between the contestants in the coming weeks.

“Omarosa, she’s like a sweet thing compared to what happens in the next couple of weeks,” he said of his former boardroom villain.

“A Meatloaf/Gary Busey conflict is unbelievable. It’s a meltdown. It’s incredible,” Trump said. “Beyond that is what happens between NeNe Leakes and Star Jones. I would say that is beyond the Meatloaf situation.”

“The Celebrity Apprentice” airs on Sundays at 8 PM on NBC.
