Dove’s Search For ‘Real Women’: Top Rated Entries

“Ugly Betty” and Golden Globe winner America Ferrera is just one example of a real woman taking over Hollywood.

Now, Dove is at it again, bringing real women to the Oscars in homemade commercials that will air during the Academy Awards.

All of the nominees are real women (the submissions were all made by viewers) and now Access has the top rated entries vying for a chance to get their own homemade Dove commercial aired during the Oscar telecast.

The winning ad could get almost $2 million worth of airtime. Dove is paying the premium Oscar’s ad rate to air with winning commercial.

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Sara Ramirez is the contest’s spokeswoman.

Dove’s ‘Real Women’ Campaign

“It’s rare, especially in Hollywood, to just invite a real woman out there to come on national television and express herself,” Sara told Access Hollywood.

While some contestants hit the shower, using the brush as a microphone, one contestant even risked her life skydiving in her commercial.

In a few days, Dove will narrow down the top rated spots and then fly the top 3 to an exclusive Oscars viewing party, where they won’t know who has won until they see the ad air during the Oscar broadcast.

In the meantime, watch all 10 commercials here!
