Duchess Catherine Snubbed By Shy Toddler At Charity Event

Duchess got your tongue?! An adorable toddler lost his nerve when it came time to hand flowers to Duchess Catherine on Monday.

2-year-old Ryan Dixon had practiced bringing flowers to Kate, according to mom Tracy Samuels, but was overcome with stage fright upon meeting the stunning Royal at a coffee morning event for the Family Friends charity on Monday.

“No no, Mummy, no Mummy,” Ryan said, as he tried to back away from the Duchess.

Kate laughed off the snub, telling the toddler, “I would be shy as well.”

Ryan’s mom took over flower duties from her son, and handed Kate a bouquet of white lilacs and nasturtiums.

The Duchess, soon to be a mother of two, looked radiant at the event, wearing a maternity dress with a powder blue overcoat – both by Seraphine.

Kate, whose second child with Prince William is due in April, is expected to head to the Caribbean next week, where she’ll join her parents to celebrate her mom’s 60th birthday on Mustique.

This isn’t the first time the Duchess has enjoyed time on the island. She took Prince George to the beautiful locale last year for her mom’s birthday, and also enjoyed a babymoon with Prince William on the island in 2013.
