Dwayne Johnson Happy To Halt ‘Hercules’ Shoot For Patty Cake

For Dwayne Johnson, patty cake trumps going to battle any day!

Access Hollywood spoke to the actor at the “Hercules” Hollywood premiere on Tuesday night, where he shared with us the heart-warming backstory on the viral photo of himself playing with a toddler on the set of his new movie.

“I’m not just playing patty cake, I am proudly playing patty cake,” he told Access when shown the shot he Tweeted earlier this month of himself and one of the producer’s daughter’s playing on set.

“It’s a massive scene in ‘Hercules.’ It’s the second epic battle of the entire movie, took us two-and-a-half, three weeks to shoot. She was on set, she was 3 years old at that time, and she comes up to me in the middle of shooting this scene and she’s like, ‘Mr. Rock do you play patty cake?'”

Despite being in the middle of multi-million dollar movie shoot, Dwayne made the right call.

“I’m looking at her and everyone is just stopped and staring [at me] and I was like, ‘I would love to play patty cake with you!'” he recalled.

And he might battle gods and slay lions in his new movie, but when it comes to the art of patty cakes, Dwayne got school by the 3-year-old.

“I look confused like I don’t know what I’m doing!” he said looking at the pic. “What the hell am I doing playing patty cake!?”
