“Hercules” star Dwayne Johnson has revealed that his mother and cousin were hit by a drunk driver, recently.
The accident happened earlier in the week, according to Dwayne, who posted about the crash on Facebook and Instagram.
“My mom [Ata Johnson] and cousin (Lina Fanene) were struck head on by a drunk driver this week – they survived,” he wrote. “My first reaction was to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is that my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days.”
Dwayne also posted a photo of the crash site aftermath.
With his family having made it through the ordeal, Dwayne had advice for others.
“Hug your own family that much tighter today and be grateful you can look them in the eyes and say, ‘I love you,'” he wrote, also noting, “Drunk driving accidents are 100% preventable.”

Dwayne’s coustin, Lina, a WWE NXT Diva, showed she is on the mend in another Instagram posting.
“Still all smiles! Very grateful to be alive and for the love from all of my family and friends! Incredibly blessed,” she wrote.
