Elementary: EP Rob Doherty Would Love To Bring On Idris Elba; Reveals Sexy Jane Alexander Cameo

“Elementary” has recruited a host of British stars for guest spots on the CBS drama, and showrunner Rob Doherty told AccessHollywood.com there’s a few more names he’d like to add to the list.

“My wish list? I love Idris Elba,” Rob said when Access spoke to him following a showrunners panel at the CBS portion of the Television Critics Association Winter Tour 2014. “I’m a big fan of ‘Luther.’ He’s amazing.”

Beyond the “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” star, Rob said he’d love to recruit a “Harry Potter” alum.

“At various times, for different characters, Alan Rickman’s name has been bandied about and he’s fantastic,” Rob told Access. “If an opportunity to work with him ever materialized, that would be pretty good.”

Rob also revealed that American actress Jane Alexander (“Kramer vs. Kramer”) is coming to the series, which stars Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu, and after the panel he explained to Access about her sexy role.

“Jane Alexander will be playing a character who goes only by ‘C’ – the letter ‘C,’” he said.

“We will find out she and Sherlock have been engaged in an exchange of erotica – for quite some time,” he added with a laugh.

“C” and Sherlock, however, have never come face to face.

“Neither of them have ever met, but they appreciate each other’s writing and sensibilities,” he added.
