Elizabeth Olsen Confirms Avengers: Age Of Ultron Casting

The Marvel Universe has found its witch!

After months of speculation and Samuel L. Jackson letting the witchy cat out of the bag, Elizabeth Olsen has confirmed she’ll appear in “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” as Wanda Maximoff, also known as The Scarlet Witch.

The 24-year-old younger sister of the Olsen twins stayed quiet on details about the role, but told MTV News that she’s excited to reunite with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who she also co-stars with in the upcoming “Godzilla” reboot.

“We get to play husband and wife, and we get to play twin brother and sister,” she said of Aaron, who is slated to play Quicksilver. “It’s also fun because even though in ‘Godzilla’ we play husband and wife, we don’t have a lot of scenes together. I just love him. I love his family. I love his kids. I’m so excited…to actually work with each other. I think it’s going to be fun.”

In the Marvel Universe, Scarlet Witch is the daughter of Magneto with the ability to cast hexes which can deflect objects, create force fields blow things up.

The actress also talked about her excitement about working with director Joss Whedon.

“He’s very smart. He’s too smart. He might be too smart,” she said of the director. “Some people are too smart for their own good, but he’s amazing.”

In other Marvel news (SPOILERS AHEAD!), did Anthony Hopkins spill some news about the future of Odin (Thor’s father) in upcoming movies?

At the end of “Thor: The Dark World,” Odin sits atop the throne of Asgard, but as Thor walks away he transforms into Loki, who viewers thought died earlier in the movie. Many fans have questioned if Odin is dead or possibly just imprisoned, either way, it appears the Oscar winner is looking ahead to other non-Marvel projects.

“I’ve done two, that’s enough,” he told MTV.

Studio honcho Kevin Feige said of Odin’s fate, “We have very good ideas whether the All-Father is with us or not.”
