Emily Maynard Married Tyler Johnson In Surprise Wedding

Surprise! Emily Maynard is married!

The former “Bachelorette” married Tyler Johnson, a management consultant, in a surprise ceremony in South Carolina on Saturday night, People reported.

The couple, who got engaged in January, invited 200 guests to Tyler’s family farm for an engagement party. However, when their friends and family showed up, they surprised everyone by instead getting married, according to the mag.

The 28-year-old bride wore a pale pink Modern Trousseau gown paired with cowboy boots for the ceremony, and her 8-year-old daughter, Ricki, acted as her maid of honor, the mag reported.

“God brought us together. He’s given me such peace about everything. I’m so grateful I met him,” Emily told the mag of her new husband.

Emily’s engagement to Brad Womack (broadcast on “The Bachelor”) ended in 2011, followed by another failed engagement to Jef Holm, who she got engaged to on “The Bachelorette.”

“For so long I felt so embarrassed and ashamed about that TV stuff,” Emily said of her reality TV romance past. “The grace that my faith has given me to wipe that all away and not find worth in that and find it through God, Tyler has been a great example of that for me. He has truly lived out God’s grace every day.”
