Eminem Drops Emotional ‘Headlights’ Vid On Mother’s Day

Eminem didn’t just send a card or flowers to his mom for Mother’s Day – he released an emotional music video for the world to see.

The rapper, who has publicly aired his anger and issues with mom Debbie Mathers in numerous songs in the past, debuted the video for his new song, “Headlights,” on Sunday, seemingly in an attempt to make amends with his mother.

The track features vocals by Nate Ruess of Fun., and is an open letter from Eminem apologizing to his mom for the hateful lyrics he’s directed her way over the years, and for failing to show her compassion.

“Did I take it too far?/ ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’/and all them other songs/But regardless I don’t hate you ‘cause/Ma, you’re still beautiful to me/‘cause you’re my mom,” he raps.
