Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ Tops Music Charts For Third Straight Week

Shady’s back and filling his pockets.

For the third consecutive week, Eminem has maintained his reign at the forefront of the music charts with his latest release, “Recovery.”

“Recovery,” which sold over 700,000 copies in its first week and 229,000 in its second week, has now cracked the 1 million albums sold mark in just three weeks on the chart following its release on June 18.

Two of the tracks from the artist’s seventh studio album have also climbed this week’s digital singles chart. His song, “Love the Way You Lie,” featuring Rihanna, currently holds the number one spot with 229,000 downloads in the last week. The radio hit, “Not Afraid,” is his album’s second track to hold a position in the top 10, coming in at ninth.

This week’s top digital download song list also includes Katy Perry’s “California Gurls,” which features platinum selling gangster rapper Snoop Dogg, Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite,” and B.O.B’s “Airplaines,” which features Paramore’s Hayley Williams.

Other albums that share the top three slots for number of albumns sold on this week’s chart include Drake’s “Thank Me Later” at number two and Big Boi’s “Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty” at number three.

“Recovery” is Eminem’s sixth album to hold a number one position on the U.S. charts.
