Emma Watson: ‘I Pounced On’ Rupert Grint

While Rupert Grint told Access Hollywood that kissing “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” co-star Emma Watson was “very strange” and “very weird,” the starlet told Access said she didn’t hesitate in making the first move.

“I pounced on him a little bit, poor guy,” she said at the junket for the sixth film in the series on Friday. “ To be honest, I mean we were both in the same boat, we were both very nervous, it was very awkward, we both really wanted it to be over, and I was so desperate to get it over.”

So she went in for the kill.

“I knew there was so much tension that it built up to the moment where we were about to do this thing,” she said. “I was like, first take, I’ve just got to get it over and done with. I just gotta do it. And I really pumped myself up and I just pounced. It was the only way to do it.”

And that wasn’t the only bit of nerves a “Potter” co-star caused her, with Daniel Radcliffe joking at a press conference for the film that she might run into a fan of the films as her roommate when she starts college this fall.

“It would be a little bit stressful if the walls were covered in ‘Harry Potter’ posters,” Emma said.

For Daniel’s part, the “Potter” star told Access at the film’s New York premiere on Thursday night that he couldn’t help himself.

“I just suddenly had an image of Emma walking into her new dormitory and the first thing she sees being a duvet cover with her face on it,” he laughed. “I just thought it was funny.”

“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is due in theaters on July 15.
