Emma Watson’s heart is “bursting” with happiness over her starring new role in Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast.”
The actress announced the news on her Facebook page on Monday.
“I’m finally able to tell you… that I will be playing Belle in Disney’s new live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast’! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’ and sing ‘Something There’. My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it. Emma xx,” she wrote.

The film will be directed by Bill Condon and is expected to start shooting later this year.
The beloved animated 1991 “Beauty and the Beast” won two Academy Awards and then went on to be adapted as a stage musical.
Disney is also releasing a live-action “Cinderella” in March and a live-action “Jungle Book,” directed by Jon Favreau.
