EMMY Magazine: House Of Cards Feature (Exclusive First Look)

“House of Cards,” Netflix’s first foray into the realm of serialized television, is creating a big stir, landing it on the cover of EMMY magazine, and AccessHollywood.com has your exclusive first look at the publication’s new issue.

The show’s first season – all 13 episodes of it – hit the online service earlier this month and Kevin Spacey, who not only stars in the series, but is an executive producer of the program (a remake of the BBC’s show from 1990), told EMMY magazine it feels like a game changer.

“The notion of being the first originally produced program for Netflix was, for us, quite exciting because it does seem to be the way that people’s viewing habits are going,” he said.

The drama, which also boasts David Fincher (“The Social Network”) and Oscar-winning screenplay writer Eric Roth as executive producers, was picked up in one big lump – no pilot, but two seasons and 26 episodes.

“We were given an order that I don’t think anybody would have given us,” Kevin told the mag. “The relationship we have with them is very much like what you’d have with a studio and it’s worked really well.”

Check out an exclusive look at photos of Kevin, who plays Frank Underwood, majority whip of the House of Representatives, with Robin Wright, who plays his wife Claire, HERE.

Also featured in this month’s EMMY magazine, which hits newsstands on February 12, is a profile on “Dallas” star Jordana Brewster. Click HERE for an exclusive first look behind the scenes of Jordana’s photo shoot!
