Emmys 2013 Fashion – The Best Of The Best (Glam Slam)

Flowing skirts and lace detailed bodices, this year was one elegant year for the stars at the Emmys.

She won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama award for playing unhinged CIA agent Carrie Mathison in “Homeland,” but at the Emmys, Claire Danes was also a true style winner. Claire’s Giorgio Armani Armani Prive ethereal nude flared gown featured a tulle bodice embroidered with sequins. The full crinoline lace skirt was accented with a woven horizontal ribbon motif, meant to create a romantic effect.

“Her look was reminiscent of classic Grace Kelly, but the look also has perfect elements that make it modern,” Access Hollywood Style Producer Anthony Ramos explained.

Anthony said Claire’s makeup accentuated her elegant fashion statement.

“Her orange lips really stood out and the contrasting fabrics that made up the dress were gorgeous,” he said.

“Modern Family’s” Sofia Vergara once again put her hourglass curves on display in a gorgeous red Vera Wang custom vermilion V-neck silk crepe and lace gown with trumpet skirt, hand applique lace detailing and corset belt.

“She knows how to highlight her amazing body in the best possible way and always brings the va-va-voom,” Anthony said of the actress’ red carpet look. “Sofia is always caliente!”

Kerry Washington may have lost out on a statue (no doubt she’ll get one before “Scandal” finishes its run on ABC), but the actress provided one of Sunday’s biggest fashion hits.

The actress donned an empire waist gown, with a gold, metallic lace bralet. Her gown featured a blush tulle skirt, with cascading hand-dyed ombre rose ribbon flowers. Kerry also carried a Marchesa handbag

“This was her biggest moment as ‘Red Carpet Kerry’ and she didn’t disappoint,” Anthony said. “The dress was both frilly, but also elegant. She floated down the red carpet. There has definitely never been a dress like this before.”

Tina Fey, who scooped an Emmy the Best Writing for a Comedy Series for “30 Rock” Emmy, was also a style star. She looked gorgeous in a Narciso Rodriguez custom cobalt silk crepe bias gown

“This was literally the best dress she has ever worn,” Anthony said of Tina’s look. “The fabulous electric blue color was perfect with her ivory skin and it fit her like a second skin. Tina was channeling Jessica Rabbit a bit.”

“Girls” star Allison Williams also rocked the red carpet in a royal blue Ralph Lauren gown.

“Simple, beautiful elegance,” Anthony said of the young actress’ look. “She wore an amazing color that brought out her eyes. It was an understated and flawless look.”
