Eric Bana & Rachel McAdams On Taming ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’

As Henry in the new film “The Time Traveler’s Wife,” Eric Bana, always makes it back in the nick of time to his love Clare — and usually in the nude.

But regardless of Henry’s state of undress, the film shies away from giving the couple time in the boudoir, something that is common throughout the book the film was based on.

Rachel McAdams, who plays leading lady Clare, told Access Hollywood that she didn’t get too many between-the-sheets moments with her hot Aussie co-star in order to make the film appeal to a wider audience.

“We kept it pretty tame… for the younger audience,” she told Access at Thursday’s NYC premiere. “You know, we got to kiss a lot… so I’m not complaining.”

Although they decided not to get too wild on film, the on-screen couple had undeniable chemistry, and it was something Mrs. Bana waited until the premiere to check out.

“Do you know what? I haven’t seen the film yet so I’ll have to wait and see…” Bana’s wife, Rebecca Gleeson, told Access.

In the movie, Henry and Clare’s love stands the test of time, but in real life Bana and McAdams are pals. But that didn’t keep them from gushing about each other.

“I couldn’t have done it without him. He’s so amazing…so generous” the actress told Access. “I mean, this is a very intense love story.”

“She’s a sweet girl to work with,” Bana said later. “I am a huge fan of hers and she was just a dream to work with.”
