Eva Longoria On Debunking Dating Rumors On Twitter & Developing Dr. Laura Berman-Inspired Comed

Eva Longoria appreciates Twitter.

When Access Hollywood asked her about using it back in July it to debunk the rumors attempting to connect her romantically with George Clooney, Eva praised the social networking site.

“That’s what Twitter is good for — to debunk anything you want,” Eva laughed on Tuesday as she hit the red carpet at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 2013 Installation Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Eva was on hand at the event where the HFPA, with help from their celebrity friends like Eva, presented $1.6 million in grants to non-profit entertainment-related organizations and scholarship programs.

“As a producer and as a philanthropist, I really enjoy this luncheon to give out the grants to people who are doing really amazing things all over the world,” she said.

During her red carpet stop, Eva, who runs a production company, confirmed she is developing a comedy inspired by the life of sex therapist Laura Berman.

“Dr. Laura has a fascinating life and so we’re really excited to bring it to television and tell her story,” Eva said.
