Eva Longoria Parker Files For Divorce; Was Tony Involved With Teammate’s Wife?

Eva Longoria Parker has filed for divorce from her NBA star husband, Tony Parker, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The papers were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday.

Eva also Tweeted the news on Wednesday afternoon, posting, “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

Tony also posted an almost identical message on his Twitter page and Facebook page, writing, “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Eva and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

The news comes one day after reps for the couple flatly denied a report – first published by TMZ – which claimed Tony had filed for divorce in Texas.

On Wednesday, a source claimed to Access Hollywood that Tony had been exchanging personal text messages with a mutual female friend of the couple – information first reported by Us Weekly.

However, Access has also learned that the woman in question is allegedly the wife of one of Tony’s current or former teammates on the San Antonio Spurs who is also going through a divorce.

Eva is “devastated and crushed,” the source told Access.

In her filing, Eva cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She is also requesting spousal support from Tony.

Eva, 35, and Tony, 28, tied the knot in France in July 2007 after getting engaged in November 2006.

The two first met in November 2004, when Eva – a big Spurs fan – paid a visit to the team’s locker room following a game.

The source also confirmed to Access that the “Desperate Housewives” star has cancelled all of her scheduled public appearances through Christmas, which includes CNN’s “Heroes 2010” benefit, the American Music Awards and a children’s charity event in Miami.

However, she will still continue working on her hit ABC show.

This is not the first time scandal has clouded the couple. In 2007, French model Alexandra Paressant claimed she had an affair with Tony, whom he denied ever meeting (he eventually sued the paparazzi agency that reported the story), after being introduced to Eva and her husband through Tony’s good friend – international soccer superstar Thierry Henry.
