Eva Longoria Speaks At Latino Luncheon

She’s on a hit TV show, she’s rich and she’s beautiful. Eva Longoria knows she has it good.

In fact, she says, she’s “the American dream.”

Longoria was telling her inspirational life story at a Latino luncheon in Washington.

AP Radio News asked her if she’d like to run for office some day and speak about Latino issues from a position of power. Longoria laughed and said no way. She says she agrees with Oprah that she can have more influence outside of the White House.

Longoria says her character Gabrielle will be getting a new love interest on “Desperate Housewives,” but she doubts it’ll last.

She tells AP Radio News that Gabby and Carlos belong together, and she’d like to
see them start a family.

She says she and the actor who plays Carlos get along great.
