Eva Longoria & Tony Parker Engaged!

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are engaged, according to People magazine.

“Eva and Tony are officially engaged,” Longoria’s rep told People. “The couple have never been happier.”

Eva, 31, and Tony, 24, a point guard for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, met in November 2004 in the team’s locker room following a game, after Eva told a local news reporter that Tony was her favorite player on the team.

The meeting was caught on tape and aired on an episode of “NBA Access With Ahmad Rashad”.

Though they played coy at first, by August 2005, the “Desperate Housewives” star confirmed they were a couple.

The happy couple was on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show on Thursday morning and confirmed the news.

Tony flew into Los Angeles last night after the Spurs’ game against the Utah Jazz. He was waiting at Eva’s home when she came in from work around midnight and proposed.

“It was perfect,” Eva gushed. “He flew in right after the game which was random because I never thought he’d come here after the game. And I got off work about midnight and he was here waiting for me.”

They plan to wed this summer in Tony’s native France in what they describe as a “big, happy ceremony with lots of family and friends.”

The pair briefly split in September, when a rep for Eva told Access Hollywood: “Tony and Eva are going through a very difficult time right now just like any other couple with very demanding schedules.”
