Evan Lysacek ‘Surprised’ By ‘Dancing’ Co-Star Jake Pavelka’s Break-Up

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 10 runner up, Evan Lysacek, has some advice for his former co-star, the newly-single Jake Pavelka.

“Jake needs to come out with us,” Evan told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on Thursday at “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” premiere in LA, referring to his black carpet companion, Kristi Yamaguchi. “He’ll find a new wife like ‘That!’ (snaps fingers) Well, not wife, but something like that.”

While Jake was booted from the ballroom early on in Season 10, not quite making it all the way to the semi-finals, Evan got a chance to know the former “Bachelor” star and his one-time ladylove, Vienna Girardi.

When asked if the split came as a surprise, Evan told Shaun it did.

“I was a little surprised, yeah,” Evan said. “I [spent] a lot of time with them socializing and just always knew them as a very happy couple so I am surprised. But who knows what happened? I don’t know anything.”

When Shaun explained that both parties had told their sides to different magazines, Evan whipped out an old saying.

“The old ‘he said, she said,’” Evan said. “That trick is the oldest trick in the book. Is that the saying?”
