Evan Lysacek’s Post-‘Dancing’ Plans: A New Car!

He may have taken second place on “Dancing with the Stars,” but Evan Lysacek will still be walking away with a prize – a new car.

A car might not be the consolation prize from the ABC reality program, but something the men’s figure skating Olympic gold medalist has been waiting quite a while to treat himself to.

“I want a new car,” Evan told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson following Tuesday night’s “DWTS” Season 10 finale, which saw Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough dance away with the mirrorball trophy.

Appropriately, Evan, who is known for his slick moves on ice, has a fast set of wheels in mind.

“I want a sports car,” the skating king told Shaun. “I’ve been waiting since before the Olympics and saying that was my reward. So, when I find time in the next month or so, I’m going car shopping.

As for “Dancing,” despite his runner-up finish, Evan said the season finale was special regardless of missing out on the shiny mirrorball trophy to add to his awards case.

“We felt like tonight was really a celebration of the last 10 weeks and having everyone back together was so special,” Evan said of his and professional partner Anna Trebunskaya’s feelings. “Even for our last dance they all came down to the floor and they were cheering. They were standing [for] 10 seconds and that is the real tone of this season of the show — the family that we’ve all become.”
