Evangeline Lilly Expecting Second Child, Keeping Baby’s Sex ‘A Surprise’

Evangeline Lilly is adding to her “Ant” farm. The “Ant-Man” star announced her pregnancy at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night.

The star, 35, stunned onlookers when she stepped out on the red carpet in a long, draped gown that showed off her healthy bump. The baby is her second child with partner Norman Kali, a production assistant she met on the set of “Lost.” The couple welcomed son Kahekili in 2011.

Despite keeping the news under wraps until now, Evangeline shared details during an appearance on Monday’s “Conan,” revealing she’s “about seven months along” and that the baby’s sex is an intended mystery.

“It’s a surprise. We don’t know this time, we didn’t know last time,” she told the host, recalling the amusing difference between her and Norman’s reactions when Kahekili arrived.

“Last time, I had to find out I had a son because I’d given birth and I was holding my beautiful baby in my arms, looking at the beautiful, perfect face, just thinking, ‘It’s perfect,'” she began. “And [then I] heard my partner Norman say, ‘Holy cow, look at the size of the balls on that kid.'”

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” hits theaters on July 17.
