Fergie On Having Kids: ‘I Don’t Want Anything Clouding My Focus’

Fergie previously said she would like to have kids with husband Josh Duhamel – possibly through adopting – but for the time being the singer said she is living in the now.

“Right now, I don’t want anything clouding my focus,” Fergie told Cosmopolitan UK as part of the mag’s August “Body Confidence” issue. “Right now, I’m living in the present.”

The Black Eyed Peas singer – who gained weight for her role in 2009’s “Nine,” said her husband wouldn’t mind seeing a more voluptuous body on her – in fact, Josh enjoys a curvy Fergie.

“He enjoys having both – the extra meat to grab when it’s there and the tight stomach when that’s there,” she told the mag – which the American verision of the fashion mag also reported in November 2009. “He always gives me compliments.”

Fergie and Josh began dating in 2004 and wed in January 2009, a period of time where she discovered that he was “the one.”

“At that stage of my life, I don’t think I’d have thought that about anybody. I’d made my lists of qualities that I wanted, and you can’t find out if someone has those in a week,” she explained. “It was learning what he was made of that made me fall in love with him.”
