Jamie Dornan has reportedly landed the role of sexy billionaire Christian Grey in the upcoming big screen adaptation of E L James’ “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
And while his new racy role will soon make him a household name, just who is this Irish hunk?
Here are five things to know about the man who took over for Charlie Hunnam and will soon don Christian’s designer shoes:
Why You Recognize Him: The Irish actor, 31, starred on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” as the sexy sheriff of Storybrooke/The Huntsman. Following the sheriff’s untimely “OUAT” demise at the hands of The Evil Queen, Jamie took on a decidedly darker role as a serial killer terrorizing Belfast, Ireland in the UK’s “The Fall.”
He’s Not Shy When It Comes To Showing Off His Chiseled Body: This is definitely a plus – Jamie used to model underwear for Calvin Klein and has posed with both Eva Mendes and Kate Moss. In 2006, following his role in Sofia Coppola’s “Marie Antoinette,” he was dubbed “the Golden Torso” by the New York Times.
He’s Musically Inclined: While we’re not sure if Jamie can whip out a classical concerto on the piano a la Christian, he does have a musical background. The actor used to perform with Sons of Jim, a folk band that disbanded in 2008.
He Used To Date Keira Knightley: The easy on the eyes duo was reportedly an item from 2003 – 2005.
He’s Taken (Boo!): Jamie married Amelia Warner, a singer-songwriter (and Colin Farrell’s ex), in April. And, according to the Belfast Telegraph, they’re currently expecting their first child.
