First Look: Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron & Chris Hemsworth In ‘Snow White And The Huntsman’

Snow White is no longer a damsel in distress!

The first images of the upcoming “Snow White and the Huntsman,” with Kristen Stewart (Snow White), Charlize Theron (The Evil Queen), Chris Hemsworth (The Huntsman) and Sam Claflin (Prince Charmant) have been released.

“The Twilight Saga” star is seen clad in armor and wielding a shield and sword.

The 21-year-old actress spoke about her upcoming role at Comic-Con 2011 in San Diego last week.

Kristen told fans during a panel that a traditional Snow White role was not something “I was jumping at,” but she was attracted to this version’s bold take on the iconic character.

Adding, “Also, I get to have a sword and stuff… really cool weapons.”

Charlize likened her Evil Queen to a “serial killer.”

“I’m pretty much preparing to play a serial killer,” she told fans.

Kristen’s Snow White will have eight dwarves, instead of the usual seven, with Ian McShane, Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost and Toby Jones cast in the gang.

“There are eight because there are a few great lines when one of them gets killed,” director Rupert Sanders told the crowd.

A separate project, “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White,” with Lily Collins in the title role and Julia Roberts as The Evil Queen, will hit theaters on March 16, 2012.
