Former Bee Gee Robin Gibb In A Coma, Rep Confirms

Robin Gibb is in a coma.

Following multiple reports claiming the 62-year-old former Bee Gee was gravely ill and in a coma, his rep confirmed the sad news to Access Hollywood on Saturday.

His rep did not provide any further details on the singer’s condition.

A statement on Gibb’s official website revealed the singer is also suffering from pneumonia.

“Sadly the reports are true that Robin has contracted pneumonia and is in a coma,” the statement read. “We are all hoping and praying that he will pull through.”

Earlier on Saturday, the UK’s The Sun reported the singer was in a coma, adding that his family members – including wife Dwina and brother Barry – were at his bedside.

Gibb underwent intestinal surgery last month and was forced to bow out of the London premiere of his first classical work, “Titanic Requiem,” due to illness.

Gibb’s twin brother, Maurice, passed away in 2003 at the age of 53 after suffering complications from a twisted intestine.
