Former ‘Real Housewife’ Danielle Staub Quits Stripping; Seeking Help From Dr. Drew

Former “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Staub is leaving her short-lived stripping gig and seeking help from Dr. Drew Pinsky.

“I have addictions with love and low self-esteem, and I need help!” the 48-year-old former Bravo star told People after racy photos surfaced online of her dancing at New York’s Scores nightclub.

“My low self-esteem derived from childhood sexual abuse has messed with my mind and self-worth, and over the years I thought about getting help but pushed it deep into the depths of denial,” she told the mag. “For years I have had the suicide hotline on my cell phone and would like nothing more than to free myself from this constant pressure.

“Seeing how I have hurt myself and my family this time,” she continued, “I can no longer push it behind me.”

The mother of two claimed she was “coaxed” into signing with Scores and has now “walked away” from the deal. Adding, “I have to own my mistakes and can’t blame others.”

Danielle, who is currently working on a new reality show, “Famous Food,” with former “The Hills” star Heidi Montag and former “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka, told the mag she is seeking help with “Celebrity Rehab” star and addition specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky.

In related news, on Tuesday, Bravo announced that the Season 3 premiere of Danielle’s former show, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” attracted 2.87 million viewers, giving Bravo its best night ever.
