Four Men Stabbed During ‘Notorious’ After-Party At Brooklyn Nightclub

Four men were stabbed at a New York nightclub during an after-party for the premiere of “Notorious” – the new biopic about rapper Notorious B.I.G., according to The Associated Press.

A 21-year-old man was left in critical condition after being stabbed several times at the party at the Djumbala club in Brooklyn. Three others were listed in stable condition after the incident on Saturday night.

Although the party had been promoted as the “official after-party” for the film, Fox Searchlight, the studio which released the movie, said it had no affiliation with the event.

“Fox Searchlight was not involved at all – it was a party thrown by some promoters that we had nothing to do with,” a spokesperson for the studio told AccessHollywood.com.

“Notorious” chronicles the rise of East Coast rapper Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie Smalls, before he was killed in Los Angeles in 1997.

The film, starring Jamal Woolard as Wallace, opened at No. 4 at this weekend’s box office, taking in an estimated $24 million.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, an employee at Djumbala said the club had “no comment” on the incident.

The Brooklyn nightclub stabbing is not the only incident of violence to be tied to the film.

According to The Greensboro Telegram, a man was shot twice inside a Greensboro, N.C. theater during a sold-out showing of the film on opening night on Friday.

One local news report out of North Carolina said Woolard, the film’s star, was actually in attendance at the time of the shooting.
